Chargers Announce New Coaching Hires: Harris and Serchia Join the Team

2023 Coaching Staff Complete

The Los Angeles Chargers have made several changes to their coaching staff for 2023. The team announced the hiring of Will Harris and Phil Serchia as assistant coaches.

Harris and Serchia Bring Experience and Expertise

Harris has over a decade of coaching experience, including stints with the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts. He will serve as the Chargers' special teams coordinator and linebackers coach.

Serchia has worked with several teams as an offensive analyst and assistant coach. He most recently served as the quarterbacks coach for the Tennessee Titans.

Chargers Head Coach Brandon Staley expressed his excitement about the new hires. "We're thrilled to add Will and Phil to our coaching staff," Staley said. "They both have a proven track record of success and will bring valuable experience to our team."

Smith Departs

As part of the coaching changes, the Chargers have parted ways with offensive line coach and run game coordinator Pat Smith. Smith held the position for only one season.
