Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke has revealed that he was stabbed by his father as a child. The 57-year-old said that the incident happened when he was a teenager living in Kent. He was stabbed in the leg and stomach, and needed hospital treatment. Du Beke said that he had never spoken about the incident before, as he did not want to upset his mother. However, he decided to include it in his new autobiography, Born to Win, because he wanted to be honest about his past. "It was a very traumatic experience," Du Beke said. "I was just a teenager, and I didn't know what was happening. I was just trying to protect myself." Du Beke said that he forgave his father for the attack, and that they had a good relationship before his father died in 2008. "He was a good man, but he had a lot of problems," Du Beke said. "I think he was just trying to do his best."
