Bobby Miller: A Rising Star in Major League Baseball

Early Life and Career

Robert Anthony Miller was born on April 5, 1999, in McHenry, Illinois.

He attended McHenry High School where he played baseball before being drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft.

He did not sign with the Orioles and instead opted to play college baseball at Louisville.

College Career

Miller played three seasons for the Louisville Cardinals, posting an impressive record.

In 2020, he was named a preseason All-American and All-ACC selection.

Miller was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the first round (32nd overall) of the 2020 MLB Draft.

Professional Career

Miller made his professional debut in 2021 for the Great Lakes Loons, the Dodgers' Class A affiliate.

He was later promoted to the Tulsa Drillers, the Dodgers' Double-A affiliate.

Miller was added to the Dodgers' 40-man roster in November 2021.

He began the 2022 season with the Oklahoma City Dodgers, the Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate.

He was called up to the major leagues for the first time on May 28, 2022.

Pitching Style

Miller is a right-handed pitcher with a fastball that reaches the mid-90s.

He also throws a curveball, slider, and changeup.

Miller is known for his excellent command and control.
