Brighton Sign Brajan Gruda from Mainz for €25m
Brighton Hove Albion Complete Signing of German International Midfielder
Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of German U21 international Brajan Gruda from Bundesliga club Mainz 05 for a fee in the region of €25 million.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a four-year contract with the Seagulls, and will join up with his new teammates following the conclusion of the international break.
Impressive Track Record
Gruda has been capped seven times by Germany at U21 level, and has scored three goals for his country at that level.
He made his debut for Mainz in the Bundesliga in 2019, and has since made 42 appearances for the club, scoring five goals and providing six assists.
Brighton's Summer Spending Spree
Gruda is the fourth signing made by Brighton this summer, following the arrivals of Julio Enciso, Simon Adingra, and Levi Colwill.
The Seagulls have spent over €70 million on new players this summer as they look to build a squad capable of challenging for a top-half finish in the Premier League.
